School Bus by Donald Crews

School Bus by Donald Crews

Rating: 3.5 stars

A school bus sighting is always a big deal for Ben.  Especially when we walked all the way to the end of our little road to watch our little neighbor, a rising second grader, get off the school bus.  Her mother drives down the road to pick her up, but sometimes there's a whole crowd that includes me, Lorelei, and Ben, and our other neighbor and her daughter.  When she gets off, we cheer and applaud as if she's walking down the red carpet.

So we like school buses.

And Donald Crews is a genius for jamming in as many school buses as is humanely possibly on each of the pages in this book.  On one page there are 32.  I know because I've counted them about 32 times.  There's not much to this book, except for the wonderful fact that there are a lot of school buses to look at and count, but it's still a good one to check out, especially if you've got a Ben in your life who just wants to look at vehicles all day long or a Lorelei in your life whose biggest dream is to ride a school bus.

Just a note on the author: Donald Crews is best know for Freight Train but he's got a lot of other books particularly good for boys...order 'em up from your local library and test them out on your kid today!
